Spring made a visit this past week, then went back into hiding and now looks like it might be back for good!  The trees are in bloom in Wake Forest, NC, the flowers are opening and Historic Downtown Wake Forest is alive with people.  Just take a peek at the Wake Forest Coffee Company!  It's great to see everyone enjoying the weather at the tables outside!

Carnival for the Kids
Tuesday, March 24 - Friday, March 27; 4 pm - 10 pm
Saturday, March 28 - Sunday, March 29; 12 pm - 10 pm
Home Depot, located at US 1 and Retail Drive, Wake Forest
The Carnival for the Kids is an annual event to raise funds for the Wake Forest Police Department's various youth programs as well as provide entertainment and fun for the families of Wake Forest and the surrounding area. $2 off "all day ride tickets" are available for Tuesday night, Saturday or Sunday afternoons by contacting Officer Scott Graham at (919) 554-6150 or via email at sgraham@wakeforestnc.gov.


Get Up & Go! Downtown Dining Tour
Thursday, March 26; 6:30 pm - 8 pm
110 S. White St., Downtown Wake Forest - Municipal Parking Lot 
Join us for a leisurely stroll through downtown visiting Wake Forest's 12 dining establishments. The walking tourists will receive delicious samples at The Forks Cafeteria, a la mode, Over the Falls Deli and La Foresta. Tourists will also receive a copy of the Wake Forest Dining Guide. Steps for Schools Second Annual 5K Race/Walk
Saturday, March 28; 8:30 am
Wake Forest-Rolesville High School

The event is designed to raise awareness and funds for tuition-required schools in Kaihura, Uganda. The cost is $20 for adults (early registration); $10 for kids ages 10 and younger (early registration). A t-shirt and race number are included. The Break Room Kick-off Breakfast

Wake Forest Baptist Church 
Wake Forest Baptist Church is proud to announce the start of a new support group for those who are out of work. The primary purpose of the group is to offer a supportive group time for persons who have been laid off or have lost their jobs and need to be supported in their grief, anger, fears, and other emotions, as well as in the many crucial decisions they will be making that are associated with such an experience. We invite you to join us for a Kick-off Breakfast on Saturday, March 28 at Wake Forest Baptist Church (WFBC) from 8:30 am - 10:00 am. The breakfast is FREE and open to the public. An exciting spring event for children ages 12 and under with over 3,000 hidden eggs children are sure to enjoy this festivity. The hunt includes searching for several golden eggs, which will bring a special prize. This free event is co-sponsored by the Wake Forest Parks & Recreation Department and the Wake Forest Athletic Association.


W.E.B. DuBois CDC Founders Day Celebration and Awards Dinner

DuBois CDC Corporate Headquarters, 150-A North White Street, Wake Forest, NC
W.E.B.
