Bolin Creek Trail and Battle Branch Trail, Chapel Hill, NC
The Wake Forest Greenways Advisory Board is inviting all interested residents to come along on Friday, June 13, at 2 p.m., for "Take a Hike" in June. These monthly walking tours are designed to encourage local residents to experience and enjoy the area's greenway trails and open spaces. For more information, contact Jan Ammons at (919) 562-0524.
Festival Friday
Friday, June 13; 6:00 p.m.
Festival Park, S. White Street
Festival Friday is scheduled to be held each Friday from June 6 through October 17 on the grounds of Festival Park. In case of rain, the festivities will move indoors. The event is free and prizes will be awarded each week to selected Festival Friday performers. The point of Festival Friday is to provide a venue every Friday night, free to the public, for local teens to gather in a safe, fun environment and encourage local artists to show off their skills. Art After Hours
Friday, June 13; 5:00 p.m.
Downtown Wake Forest
On the second Friday night of each month the streets of downtown Wake Forest come alive with food, merchants and music! Everyone is invited to come and experience the dining, art and retail merchants of downtown Wake Forest. Downtown businesses stay open until 9:00pm. You never know what treasure you may find!
Wake Forest Farmers' Market
Saturday, June 14; 8:00 a.m. - Noon
Downtown Wake Forest - Municipal Parking Lot
The market offers fresh produce, pasture-raised beef, poultry and pork, free-range eggs, fresh and dried herbs, honey, jams and preserves, plus a whole lot more. The Farmers' Market is open Saturday mornings from 8 a.m. until noon through November 22. For more information, contact Terri Wilkinson at (919) 556-1579.
