The Factory, South Main Street

Halloween Spooktacular
Thursday, October 25; 6:30 p.m. - 8:30 p.m.
Flaherty Park Community Center
Kids ages 12 and younger are invited to a ghoulish good time! A variety of ghostly games and activities will be offered. Costumes are optional but a prize for "best costume" will be awarded. Free pumpkins will be given away while supplies last! For more information, call (919) 554-6180.


Wakefield High School Fall Plant Sale
Friday, October 26 - Sunday, October 28; 10:00 a.m. - 6:00 p.m.
Wakefield High School Greenhouse
Wakefield High School's Agricultural Education program is pleased to announce its first Fall Plant Sale Friday, October 26 - Sunday, October 28, from 10 a.m. - 6 p.m., at the Wakefield High School Greenhouse. The Fall Plant Sale is open to the public. Here you will find pansies, snapdragons, ornamental cabbages, kales, and mustards. There will also be fall vegetables, mixed planters, herbs, and a wide array of herbaceous perennials. A number of specialty perennials grown by local nurserymen of the Falls Revival Nursery will also be available for purchase. Dine at the Ale House for Special Olympics

Enjoy lunch or dinner at the Carolina Ale House on Friday, October 26 from 11 a.m. until 9 p.m. and the Ale House will donate 10% of all proceeds for Special Olympics.


Wake Forest Farmers' Market - Trick or Treat at the Market
Saturday, October 27; 8:00 a.m. - Noon
Downtown Wake Forest - Municipal Parking Lot
Wear your costumes and enjoy hot cider and special Farmers' Market treats on the last day of the market season! The market offers fresh produce, pasture-raised beef, poultry and pork, free-range eggs, fresh and dried herbs, honey, james and preserves, plus a whole lot more. The Factory Ice House Open House

The Factory Ice House is having an open house on Saturday, October 27 from 1:00 p.m. - 4:00 p.m. Enjoy discounted admission for the entire public skating session, Pro Shop discounts on all hockey and figure skating equipment, games and lots of prizes. Also, register to win tickets to a Carolina Hurricanes hockey game. From 1:00 - 2:00 p.m. kids will have the chance to skate with Stormy, the Carolina Hurricanes mascot.
