Wordless Wednesday - A New Addition to Our Family

It has taken quite some time but we finally found THE puppy that we wanted to love.  His name (so far) is Brodie!  He has been home since 5pm and this house will never be the same!  Tug was hesitant at first to meet him but after just a few short minutes, a few growls and the obligatory sniffs all is wonderful in this house!

Meet Brodie!  This is how Tug handles him.....just throws a leg over him!

Liam decided to join in.......

And then there is sweet revenge......

Or to solve all problems Tug just lays on Brodie!

I have to say - we got Brodie from the Wake County Animal Shelter.  It broke my heart that we couldn't scoop up more than just Brodie!  So, please, if you are looking to add another member to your family of the four legged kind please visit your local Animal Shelter - there are AMAZING animals just waiting for their furever home!

Looks like it won't be long before Brodie and Tug see eye to eye. Great to hear that you gave a shelter animal a second chance!

Leesa - Brodie is soooooooooo cute and it looks like Tug has already put him in his place.

That is AWESOME!  Tug lookes like he has adopted to the big brother role well.  I'm sure there will be many many many pictures to come from this new addition.  Congrats to you and the family!  Give the furry kids a pat for me!

Good for you, Leesa.  And Tug and Brodie already look like fast friends.  I can't go into a shelter because I want to bring all the dogs home.  It is heartbreaking.  I am glad Brodie found his "forever home."

Leesa, you're just too funny with that "furever home".  Tug & Brodie look like buddies for life all ready!

They are so cute together. I know it won't be long until Tug has it totally under control.

Leesa, good job on the rescue, we have a shelter here in Clayton where they keep everyone until they find a home. I found a big old lab that they found a home for.

Hi Leesa ~ I can't believe Tug is such a wonderful big brother! He's so adaptable - a peach! I know exactly what you mean about wanting to adopt more - it would be all too easy to become an animal hoarder - they're just so irresistible.

Great job rescuing Brodie from the animal shelter Leesa!

Somehow I think pets know when they've been adopted and show their gratitude everyday.

Enjoy your new family member!

What a nice addition to the family and bless you for rescuing him.  He ought to liven up things around your house for awhile and maybe forever.

Thanks everyone for all of your comments!  Brodie has fit in nicely and Tug only had to let him know one time who was here first - that was all it took and now they are great friends.  We got lucky - he's a great pup!
