Image of extreme destruction in San Diego left by recent storms

With all the news lately about the subzero weather and snow that the Midwest and east coast areas are experiencing, we shouldn't forget that Southern California has its share of devastating weather also.

This is a photo illustrating the excessive damage caused to a home from a west coast storm that passed through the San Diego area a week ago. It really makes you cherish what you have, and reminds us not to take life for granted.

I don't know how they'll get this resin chair back in the upright position!  My prayers go out to this family.

The entire Pacific Coast has been hit by severe wind and rainstorms...including in the Pacific Northwest Coast region.    Very odd weather pattern, this year, and I understand it's the "norm" for an El Nion/La Nina effect.

What do you think about the destruction in that picture?

There are disasters happening all over the US and abroad. Weather patterns have shifted and things that normally didnt happen in some places are now happening. Look out!!

Robert - did you look at the photo?

Nevin - IF you look very closely through the fence, you can see a small tree branch (more like a switch) in the yard too.

I looked at the photo!

Amy - You are the first one to realize this is a joke.  Geez,.....  do people actually READ the blog or just the title?!  LOL  How's it going?

A lot of folks just read the title!  I pay close attention so that I get to know the blogger.  That's how I found out that you were such a funny guy!

OK, that's just so wrong on so many levels......and so funny on so many others!

Leesa -  Know what's even funnier?  Both of them have over 200,000 points and never read the post!

Nevin - well you made me laugh with this pic, despite the fact that there really was some pretty serious stuff happening out here, with some homes lost, floding, mudslides, and so much more. Lots of trees down (some on houses).

Your point is well taken. We do have to be thnkful for what we have AND for our lives. A home can be replaced (as can a ruined chair LOL), our lives cannot.

LOL. Your point is well-taken. The plant next to my front door blew over several times and my dog got very, very wet. SO, yes there was some serious damage!

Jeff - Oh..now I feel bad.  I didn't realize that there actually was serious destruction...That was the reason I joked about it.  As you know whenthe East Coast gets hit hard people usually die.  I will have to be a little more careful next time before making light of a situation I don't know enough about.

Melissa - Aw, poor doggie. Must have been really excited to see you when you got home!  Luckily these types of events in San Diego are pretty rare

Nevin this is hilarious!  From the photo itself, to the caption below it, to the comments of those who ignored both.  You are so funny!
