Is your transaction a real estate fraud scheme? Part 8 of 8

This series explained the most common types of real estate fraud but I'm sure there are new schemes being thought up all of the time.  I hope this series provided some insight on some of the crazy schemes being perpetrated and how to recognize them.

Below is a copy of a suspicious activity report which is filed by financial institutions when they suspect possible fraud.  Below that are links to the authorities that investigate real estate and mortgage fraud.

Nevin,  This has been an excellent series on Real Estate fraud schemes.

Yesterday morning, I attended the Legislative Meeting for NCAR and the Attorney General spent more time discussing fraud than anything else.  He touched on ways that the state is trying to help put an end to such things.  Will share the info as soon as I get my notes put together.  When I do write it up, I would love to include links to your series (with your permission, of course).

Amy - I would be honored to have my blogs shared!  Thank you!

Jeff - Thank you.  Too bad these clever folks don't use their smarts to make an honest living.
