2009 Events

Reflecting on the events of 2009 and how they impacted my life, I renewed the belief that "things" don't make us happy but rather we must be happy with the things we have. Life isn't yesterday or tomorrow, it's right now at this very moment.  Tomorrow is a hope for continuance not a guarantee.

How will you spend your time in 2010?

Nevin, you are so right.  As agents it can be a tough balancing act between business and personal.  We must make good use of each moment. Thank you.

Nevin, I will be spending 2010 in a new office with agents I respect and create more client relationships and plan to spend more time with my family and especially oldest son as he will be graduating and leaving home. Happy New Year's Eve Nevin and looking forward to seeing you in the Rain in 2010!

Wanda - Sounds like you are in a good spot!  I really hope you have a nice New Years also and like I said to Carol I hope that you spend your time in 2010 doing the things that matter most to you

Nevin, you're right. Life is now. The trick is to get rid of the noise of yesterday and tomorrow to be in the moment. That's a tough challenge for most of us. Have a wonderful New Year!

Very deep Nevin. Have you come to some sort of a crossroads?!!

All kidding aside, this was a great post. Well said my friend.

Here's wishing you and yours a very Happy, Healthy and Prosperous New Year.

"Tomorrow is a hope for continuance, not a guarantee" WOW! As you and Carla know, I was in a bad car accident a few weeks ago with the car flipping over and by all accounts I shouldn't even be here. So that statement actually rings a whole lot more true than you know. :) Nevin - here's to wishing you a great and wonderfully prosperous new year. When I say prosperous, I mean in the things that bring you the most , fulfillment, contentment and happiness. God Bless...

Craig - I did come to a crossroads!  Happy New Year Craig

Carla - I guess you could interpret it that way.  It's meant to motivate people to focus on the more important things in life

Andi - I had no idea you were in a car accident!  OMG  I hope you are okay.  Thanks and Happy New Year to you too!

Another great blog with a song message today!! I find it sad that some people let material things consume their lives. To me, life has always been about people and doing kind deeds. It is interesting to see how the second major recession of my adult life is making some people I know that are concerned about all things material "check" themselves now and attitudes change.

Renee - Thanks!  I keep reading about all of the things people will be doing for their businesses in 2010 but haven't seen much regarding quality of life.

I love this song. I hope to be busy in 2010, and I'm pretty sure I will be. I know that some folks are travelling to San Diego soon. That should keep them pretty busy ;-)

Hi Melissa -  I love that song too!  I think we will be busy this year especially because so many people are leaving the business.  Here's to a great year!
