Starting this Monday, December 28th, the Town of Wake Forest NC will begin its Christmas Tree Recycling Program.
If you are a resident of the Town of Wake Forest NC and your yard waste is collected by the Town then you may participate in this "Treecycling" program. Trees will be picked up on your normally scheduled "yard waste pick-up" day. Please remove all ornaments, tinsel, garland, lights, stands, bags, etc from the tree and leave at your curbside.
All trees in the "Treecycling" Program will be ground into mulch which will them be available to residents of Wake Forest NC for FREE!
By recycling trees we are saving space in the landfill AND the mulch is providing a valuable commodity for the Wake Forest NC residents!
If you would like more information regarding the program or to request mulch please call Betty Pearce at (919)554-6120.
Life in Wake Forest NC is always thinking GREEN.....

It's hard to believe that it will soon be time to take down that tree!!! Reycling is the way to go.
Good Localism post -- Merry Christmas and may next year be a good one for you.
Christine - I know, can you believe it?
Leesa that reminds me that every year they use the old trees in Louisiana for rebuilding some of the eroded marshland.
I like the idea of recycling trees. Happy holidays. Have a great 2010.
