The SECRET - The Law of Attraction - FENG SHUI....by a Long Island Feng Shui Consultant
As a Feng Shui Consultant on Lovely Long Island New York, I often ask my clients if they have seen or read "The Secret." I am surprised many are still not aware of it although for many people, when they saw it, it struck a nerve. And propelled them to look at life a different way.
The principles of The Secret are the Principles of Feng Shui. We use the word "Intention" instead of Law of Attraction but it is basically the same thing. When we change our thoughts and our actions, we change our lives.

Feng Shui is perhaps more involved then this but we are taught in Feng Shui that if we can't change our client's outlook we may not have the results we are seeking to achieve. It's not an easy process and can take time for some people to change their thoughts before they are spoken or otherwise "sent out there" into the Universe.
What is not difficult to understand is that we are working with ENERGY. If you can remember one simple thing it may help you turn those "maybes" into "whens." WHEN I get the new job instead of IF I get the new job. When you want something, CLAIM IT as if you already own it.
Here's something that you need to remember. Repeat it, focus on it, do whatever you have to do until it really sinks in:
***********ENERGY FOLLOWS INTENT************

It's so simple! In Feng Shui we also believe we are particularly sensitive to our surroundings---fill them with things that you LOVE. Keep it simple....people don't like to struggle through a space, neither does Energy. Look at your LIFE. Get Clarity in exactly what you are seeking and then FOCUS on it. And be patient.
While many of you are thinking of the upcoming holidays, this Long Island Feng Shui Consultant is thinking about the Chinese New Year. Every year I put up a post on what you should do...and I add some new things each year. I will be putting up one this year as well but I am also going to address the ONE THING YOU MUST DO for this Chinese New Year to help ensure success.
It won't cost you a dime. I often ask my Feng Shui Clients on Long Island & New York if they've noticed any changes since they called me to schedule an appointment and in many cases, they HAVE. They realize it but don't realize WHY---
By setting up the Feng Shui Consultation they have made a commitment. Their Intentions to finally have A Feng Shui Consultation done in many cases already starts a process of changing the Energy.
If you're REALLY ready to have some wonderful changes come your way this year, make a commitment and add to your Business Plans for 2010 two words: Feng Shui.
Make a commitment to allow an hour a week to making some changes in YOUR space. I'll tell you how (and honestly, it's painless : )

Carole, great post. I have been using "intentions" to speed up my metabolism. I have been concentrating at times during the day on how revved up my metabolism is and I don't know but I feel thinner! I do need someone to help me with my space because I am a clutter bug and I always feel overwhelmed at home. Merry Christmas! Is it snowing up there yet?
Great Post Carole, thank you. We need more information like this in the business world.
As usual Carole nice work putting together this acticle on FENG SHUI! I hope you enjoy the holidays:)
Carole,
I am ready to make lasting changes in my life. It is my intention to have a truly best year of my life in 2010!
Carole,
I am ready to make lasting changes in my life. It is my intention to have a truly best year of my life in 2010!
Hi Carole-I can tell you I am most definitely making big changes for 2010. It started to some degree the latter part of 2009 and I am looking so forward to 2010. I hope you are doing well this holiday season. I feel like I am back in NY though as we have 8" of snow. Just no way of clearing it here. Enjoy your weekend. <SMILE>
It's true, Carole. How can we possibly make real changes in our lives when we don't even buy into it ourselves?! We must change our thinking, to affect a change in our behavior, to affect a change in our outcomes. I know this to be true for myself.
Hi Carole.
I remember last year's recommendations....I still have the bells hung on my front door (inside on the door knob) and everytime I enter or leave, they ring and I'm reminded of you. When we move, I'll make sure they go on the front door there too!
Jo
Carole, you gave very wise advice at the end of this post. Now I can't wait for the Chinese New Year one!
I have added the words Feng Shui to my vocabulary and to my life since the first day I read your blog Carole.
Hope you're weathering the storm today. I saw on the news that my old stomping grounds are in white out conditions!
Happy shoveling!
Carole - I can tell you I am surrounded by the things I love and those that love me and look forward to what that one thing to do for the Chinese New Year to ensure success for 2010. Merry Christmas!
I watched the Secret several times and I read the book as well. I practice the power of attraction a long time and I can tell it works! Be careful what you wish lol
Hi Carole:
Thank you for helping us understand what Feng Shui is all about.
I so enjoy reading your posts!
Carole--I decided after reading your post for the new year last year that I would incorporate several of your recommendations and what a difference it made. (So my 9 red envelopes with the coins are still in place from last year...do I need to redo them or just leave as-is?)
Carole - The first time I saw The Secret, I kept saying over and over, "That's it! That's it!" I had found at various times in life I was able to call in significant things to my life. The Secret explains that process! As always, your posts are so amazing and wonderful!
Carole,
You always wih thse great ideas and blogs about the Feng Shui, nice to see these great blogs ! :P
Hello Carole,
I really enjoy reading your posts & learning more about Feng Shui. I have always been interested in it. I purchased the book "The Secret" several years ago and the movie. I also gave the book as Christmas gifts to several of my friends, that same year. Then I created a poster "My Life's Purpose" and hung it on the wall in my home office where I would see it frequently everyday. I need to bring the poster back out, make a few minor changes & rehang it. I will also take your advice & add the 2 words to my 2010 Business Plan - Feng Shui. Thank you! Have a wonderful Sunday!
Rita
Good post -- hope you are having a good holiday season.
I hope your intention is to drive some warmer weather up to NY! Thanks for a great post on a wonderful subject!

Great post Carole! I saw The Secret. Would you believe my HUSBAND ordered it? I plan on watching it again tomorrow. When we change our thinking, it DOES change our life. Little by little, but it changes. :)
Carole: I look forward to these posts. My intention is to meditate every day, and ask to speak to the "non-striving, non-seeking" part of my mind - winter is a time for deep listening.
What a wonderful post.. and just two little words can start the process... Feng Shui. It look like Ester and Jerry Hicks work has come a long way in the US... the East has known many of these "secrets" for a long time.
Interesting insight here Carole. We call it faith, but we do not project our belief in ourselves per se, but the Greater ONE, Jesus, who resides in us. Faith of course, without works.... is dead.
This is fantastic information Carole. I do completely believe that if we "know" something to happen rather than to just "wish" it - it happens. At least for me.
Hey, Carole, we have a late Chinese New Year in 2010, it is also Valentine's Day. Are you working on your post already? Nice, I usually read the fortune telling in the beginning of the Chinese calender, I focus on the positive reading, and try to pay less attention to the negative ones. Our mind set plays a major role in our daily lives. Thanks for the remind.
Hi Carole,
I love the Secret!! I will be looking forward to your post on what to do for 2010!
Have a very Merry Christmas!!
hi Carole! We are ready to make lasting changes for the better...Susan made me smile about the revved up metabolism and clutterbug....ditto here.
Carole..I always listen to you...I cleaned under my bed..still nothing...LOL
HELPFULHANNAH
Carole- I just found 2 more books on Feng Shui at the thrift store yesterday and it made my day. One is Feng shui in Your Garden, I can't wait to dig into it ! (okay, bad pun, but it's after 11pm and I just got home!)
Thanks for all the great advice you've given out this last year. I do believe in the Secret and the Law of Attraction. Have you read "the New Earth" by Ekhardt Tolle? It's a great book to read if you believe in energy and movement.
Happy Holidays!
There you go again, teaching me something I need to learn. I know I need "intention" in everything I do - but I forget. I stumble threw my day as if nothing will change. I know my thoughts have energy, but my thoughts are usually in a neutral position.
The hubs and I have always spoken this way, "when we move", not "if..." This year has been one of challenges, but as it winds down, he mentioned the other day that remembering my "Chinese New Year/Feng Shui" rituals from last year reminded him of some good things, as well. A new daughter in law, more business, several opportunities for him...AND the year is not over! =o)
If people understand that one concept....THAT ENERGY FOLLOWS INTENT, they'll get it!
Please forgive me...I will never get to all these comments but I thank you ALL and will do my best to keep up better.
I am thrilled that some of you are at least trying Feng Shui! And don't mind doing some of the "work" that we consider so important to help ensure the best year you can have.
