5th Annual Gobbler's Run 5K Family Event
Thursday, Nov. 26; 8 am
Wake Forest Boys & Girls Club
Registration is $15 before Nov. 15 (children 5 and under are free) and all proceeds benefit the Wake Forest Boys & Girls Club. Last year's race attracted over 1,000 participants and we expect even more this year. The 3.1 mile loop is an easy stroll through downtown and historic Wake Forest. The course is open to runners and walkers of all skill levels. Push your kids or bring your dog - walkers and pets are encouraged to attend. Wake Forest Farmers' Market
Saturday, Nov. 28; 8 am - Noon
Municipal Parking Lot, 110 S. White St.
The market offers fresh produce, pasture-raised beef, poultry and pork, free-range eggs, fresh and dried herbs, honey, jams and preserves, plus a whole lot more. The Farmers' Market is open from 8 am to noon every Saturday from April through November. www.wakeforestmarket.org
Family Holiday Movie Night in Wake Forest
Saturday, Nov. 26; 4 pm - 6 pm
Crossroads Entertainment, 415 Brooks St., Wake Forest
Enjoy a showing of "Polar Express" with your children or drop them off to watch the movie while you shop, relax, or dine. There is no charge for admission or to drop your children off. All attending are encouraged to wear pajamas. Santa will also make an appearance and give a small gift to each child, so bring your cameras!
