Firing Range Training
Monday, Sept. 28; 1 pm - 9 pm
Police Department Firing Range, behind Flaherty Park Community Center
Residents in the area are advised that the Wake Forest Police Department will conduct firing range training at the police department firing range, located behind the Flaherty Park Community Center. The firing range is utilized by Wake Forest Police officers who require instruction and practice in order to obtain current certification in the use of firearms. This certification is required in order for the officer to fulfill his duties for the Wake Forest Police Department.www.wakeforestnc.gov/residents/police_firingrange.aspx 


Vertigo, Evaluation, and Treatment Seminar
Tuesday, Sept. 29; 10:15 am
Northern Wake Senior Center, 235 E. Holding Ave., Wake Forest

Resources for Seniors, an organization that serves senior and disabled adults in Wake County is hosting a workshop about vertigo. Lead by Allied Rehab, the workshop will be held on September 29.


Firing Range Training
Tuesday, Sept. 29; 1 pm - 9 pm

Wake Forest Woman's Club Meeting
Thursday, Oct. 1; 6:30 pm - 8 pm
Wake Forest Community House, 133 W. Owen Ave

Refreshments will be served and guests are welcome. For more information, call membership chair Quinn Berardinelli at (919) 761-1646.

Wake Forest Farmers' Market 
Saturday, Oct. 3; 8 am - Noon 
Downtown Wake Forest - Municipal Parking Lot 
The market offers fresh produce, pasture-raised beef, poultry and pork, free-range eggs, fresh and dried herbs, honey, jams and preserves, plus a whole lot more. The Farmers' Market is open from 8 am to noon every Saturday April through November. www.wakeforestmarket.org 


Chili Tasting at the Wake Forest Farmers' Market 
Saturday, Oct. 3; 10 am - Noon 
Downtown Wake Forest - Municipal Parking Lot 
Visitor's to the Farmers' Market can taste several different chilies and some food made from products available at the Market prepared by vendors and others. Taste all of the chili you want for a $5 donation to the Tri Area Ministries Food Bank. You will also get a free market shopping bag with your donation!


Wilton Elementary Fall Festival and Marketplace
Saturday, Oct. 3; 10 am - 2 pm
Wilton Elementary School, 
Route 96, Franklinton 

Located just 20 minutes north of Wake Forest, Wilton Elementary School is hosting a Fall Festival and Marketplace. Start your holiday shopping early and support a local school at the same time! The event is free and open to the public.


Grand Opening of E. Carroll Joyner Park featuring The Swang Brothers
Sunday, Oct. 4; 2 pm - 5 pm
E. Carroll Joyner Park, 701 Harris Rd., Wake Forest
 

The official grand opening of E. Carroll Joyner Park is Sunday, Oct. 4 at 2 pm. A concert will follow featuring The Swang Brothers at 3 pm. The beautiful park covers 117 acres and features a 1,000-lawn seat amphitheatre and three miles of walking trails.

There is always something cool going on in Wake Forest. Farmers markets are fun, but hanging out at the firing range would be great too.
