Firing Range Training
Wednesday, Feb. 25; 3 pm - 7 pm
Police Department Firing Range, behind Flaherty Park Community Center
Residents in the area are advised that the Wake Forest Police Department will conduct firing range training at the police department firing range, located behind the Flaherty Park Community Center. The firing range is utilized by Wake Forest Police officers who require instruction and practice in order to obtain current certification in the use of firearms. Tree Seedling Giveaway
Saturday, Feb. 28; 8 am to Noon
Wake Forest Town Hall
The Wake Forest Urban Forestry Advisory Board (UFAB) is hosting its fourth annual tree seedling giveaway on Saturday, February 28 at the Wake Forest Town Hall from 8 am until noon - or until all the seedlings are gone. UFAB members and local cub scouts will distribute River Birch, Chestnut Oak, Bald Cypress, and Black Walnut free of charge to Wake Forest-area residents. Planting instructions, along with useful information about the trees, will be included with the seedlings. The tree seedlings are available on a first-come, first serve basis, and there is a limit of three per person. Reservations and sign-ups prior to the event will not be accepted.
A Birthday Celebration with Dr. Suess

The Cat in the Hat will come alive at The Storyteller's Book Store on Sunday, March 1.
